Heir Force Novel: Questions for you

Hi there,

I’ve been reading some books and blogs about blogging, writing, etc. I wanted to ask you guys some questions. Do you like this story so far? Are you following it okay? Is it difficult to follow? Are the posts too long, too short or just right? I’ve never blogged a novel before or read one that way and am curious what you guys think.

Also, are you a reader and a writer or just one or the other? I’m interested to see what you think so far and if you have any suggestions for improvement. And if you started following mid-way, did you go back to the beginning posts are just jump in?

I’ll post the next novel segment tomorrow.

Thanks for any feedback!

Michelle

  1. Hello there Michelle! Sorry it has taken me a year to respond to your question post…I am really enjoying this story. I feel very connected to the characters and am thoroughly interested in what they’re thinking, feeling, and what’s happening to each of them.

If I could offer one tiny piece of advice, I would somehow work Ruth back into the picture. I think you could really twist and weave some very interesting things between the two of them. I meant to mention it earlier, when she deployed, it would have been awesome to have Ruth deployed to Germany while Kate was there. I would very much like to see her somehow re-introduced into the story. I also would like to possibly have more of a back story on each of the characters. You’ve gone into Kate’s background a little bit and now we know John has a daughter, I’m interested in Spencer and Sgt Thompson also.

Regarding the length of the story, I think it’s too short, but I understand that you can’t write a ton via a blog. I find myself holding off on reading them right away, and actually wait until I’ve received the next segment so it doesn’t go by so quickly. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think you’re an amazing writer and am enjoying your character development and plot. It will be interesting to see what will be in the segments to come!!

    Blessings!!

    • Sarah,

Wow! What an awesome and helpful comment! You’re right, there’s not a lot of backstory on the characters, because this is a blogged novel. If it were a hardcopy book, there would be more there. I do have other segments I’m skipping, because by themselves, they aren’t that exciting to read as a blog post. You’ll just have to wait for the full book if I e-pub it later ๐Ÿ™‚ As far as Ruth, you’ve given me food for thought. I’ll have to keep that suggestion in mind.

So glad you’re enjoying the story, and sorry I’m driving you crazy ๐Ÿ™‚ Keep reading, and you’ll find out how it all comes together.

      Thanks so much for reading!

      Warmly,
      Michelle

    • I’m so glad you’re liking the story! As I said before I started, I’m doing it scared. So there may be mistakes or parts that don’t flow just right, but I’m doing my best and am having a blast! Thanks for your kind words.

      Enjoy the story!

      Michelle
